Director of Club Service - Karen Holley
The
Muscogee Club Bulletin is a necessary and essential tool for
the club in keeping members up-to-date and apprised of the club's
activities and programs. The weekly bulletin is not only a creative
and informative communication mechanism for our club, but a calendar
for all events and activities.
Each table has one or more bulletins during each
meeting and they are always taken because of the information,
future schedules, events and activities outlined in the bulletins.
Our objectives are to continue the excellent bulletin
and insert important biographical information in the bulletin
concerning upcoming programs, list missing members and make-ups,
birthdays, anniversaries, and always including important elements
of Rotary information.
The bulletin is disseminated weekly and copies will
be sent to the Lieutenant Governor and District Governor.
Public Relations is currently and temporarily
handled by the Director of Club Services until such time the public
relations person is freed-up to resume this task. The PR person
is responsible for using creative ways and means to keep the community
informed of the programs and services of the Muscogee Rotary Club
as we promote the theme......"Celebrate Rotary 100 Years" for
Rotary Year 2004-05. Pictures are made at each program and event
.
Club Programs - Muscogee Rotary Club is fortunate
to have a creative and innovative individual to plan and execute
programs for the club. The program chair has planned a year of
very diverse programs, activities and speakers that other clubs
in the area always look forward to attending as make-ups, and
because of the interesting topical programs. The Program Chair
works closely with the Fellowship Chair in planning long range
activities and programs for all occasions.
Fellowship - As stated earlier, the Fellowship
Chair and the Program Chair work in tandem on many programs and
activities. All program chairs are asked to assist with membership
development because of the fact that each one of us work in very
different and diverse environments. This has proven to be a great
source of recruitment for new members. All in all, the Muscogee
Rotary Club members work as a team in ensuring all club programs
and activities are closely coordinated for maximum club and community
impact.
Magazine - We are making every attempt to
promote readership and use of the Rotary Magazine as an educational
and awareness tool for all club members. We plan to demonstrate
the usefulness of this internationally diverse publication as
a tool and "must read" for everyone in our Rotary Club. New ideas,
programs, projects and activities can be gleamed from this publication,
as well as to see the impact that Rotary is having in the world
and how each member of each club can become engaged in this process
of world peace.
Club Services Plans and Objectives for 2005 - 2006
will be focused on the following:
- Continued development of the Club's Web
Site
- Promoting the Rotary Magazine as an awareness
and educational tool and a local resource
- Developing more creative and innovative
club programs (conducted survey of members)

- Promote community awareness and participation
in through various club programs
- Promoting Muscogee Rotary in the community
